CPT521 : NOSTRADAMUS : Book Quote
A wave of plagues shall bring so great a dearth
While ceaseless rains the Arctic Pole shall sweep:
Samarobryn, a hundred leagues from earth,
Law-free themselves from politics shall keep.
VI-5
"So severe the famine and so unprecedented the consequent inflation that people will start to grub up roots for food, and even turn to cannibalism.
The seer also anticipates some kind of interplanetary collision resulting in huge clouds of dust and smoke that will obscure both sun and moon for years on end.
The human race is warned by the 'gods' that it alone must take responsibility for the ensuing conflict. However the warning goes unheeded, and hostilities merely intensify, even amid the gloom of the growing planetary catastrophe.
In fact, the weather remains disturbed for at least forty years and during the continuing earthly conflicts, the extraterrestrial visitors choose to stay wisely aloof, orbiting at approximately the altitude of the former American Skylab.
Verse VI-5 is extraordinary, apparently using the word 'Samarobryn' to refer to a whole fleet of space-ships or space-stations. Even more extraordinarily, the term seems to be made up of linguistic elements that mean 'self-operating' or even 'self-sufficient'."
